Dr. Alena Golyagina is a Lecturer in Accounting at RMIT University. Alena combines her interdisciplinary background in business and linguistics to transform the accounting discipline, profession and education. She conducts interdisciplinary research using insights from sociology, history, linguistics and communications. Alena is interested in the evolution of business narratives, storytelling in business, visual rhetoric and corporate discourses.

Alena's research has been presented at international conferences including Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Accounting, European Accounting Association Congress, APIRA and Management Accounting Research Group Conference. Alena has published in top accounting journals including The British Accounting Review, Critical Perspectives on Accounting and Accounting Education.
