About

I have many years experience of teaching, research and administration at the University of Nottingham. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and I am a Chartered Global Accountant. I have extensive management accounting experience, having worked in various senior roles in industry (Ericsson - mobile phones; GEC Plessey Telecommunications). In my last role in industry, I worked as part of a joint Ericsson and Andersen Consulting team to implement a new global business solution TTC (Time to Customer), using Enterprise Resource Planning software (SAP). After I had completed a M.A. in Accounting and Consultancy I decided I wanted to become a teacher and researcher in H.E. I qualified as a teacher and taught accounting and finance at Nottingham University Business School since 2003. I am research active and have published articles in academic and practitioner journals. My PhD thesis is titled ‘Graduate competency for the management profession: a critical view of stakeholder expectation gaps’.
