Dr Nadia Gulko is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting, Director of Teaching and Learning, and is part of the Leadership Team for the Department of Accountancy Finance and Economics at Lincoln International Business School (LIBS) the University of Lincoln. She is also an External Examiner for the BSc International Accounting at the University of Northampton (2017-2021). She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, is qualified with CIMA, and is CIMA Academic representative at LIBS. Dr Gulko is also a Member of the European Accounting Association (EAA) and the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Accounting and Audit, an MSc in Accounting, and a PhD in Accounting. Her research interests lie in the areas of non-financial reporting, accountability, corporate governance, with a particular focus on CSR materiality and corporate social responsibility disclosure. Prior to starting her academic career, she had worked for over 10 years in leadership positions in accountancy and management within reputable national and multinational companies in manufacturing and fashion retail sectors.

Dr Gulko has run and taught on a number of postgraduate, large undergraduate, and online executive courses in the areas of Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, CSR, and Business Ethics. She has supervised research dissertation students on MSc Accounting. She is a convenor of one MSc degree and a number of PG and online modules. Being passionate about teaching, Dr Gulko incorporates a philosophy of research and practitioner-engaged teaching, and effectively employs innovative teaching methods and technology to help enhance student learning experience and satisfaction. In recognition of her achievements, she was deeply honoured to have received Teaching Excellence Award 2017/18, Vice Chancellor’s Award in Teaching 2018, Best Practice Award 2019 for ‘Increasing Student Engagement’, and Individual Merit Award 2020 at the University of Lincoln. In 2020, Nadia won the prestigious Global Champion Award 2020 (#1) in ‘CIMA Teaching Excellence’ nomination.
