About

Rafael is currently pursuing a PhD in Accounting at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). He is also an Accountant registered with the Brazilian Federal Accounting Council (CRC/MS) with training in accounting, specialization in people management, teaching in higher education and master's in agribusiness.

Rafael conducted interdisciplinary research on the measurement of biological assets, mainly aggregating the agronomic area in accounting measurement. He is currently conducting research on accountant stereotyping in popular culture and in parallel develops his thesis project in the critical line on accounting narratives in the context of organizations stigmatized by environmental and social disasters.

Rafael has been teaching at the university level since 2015. He has experience in coordinating accounting courses and had award-winning articles in Latin American congresses/conferences.

After starting the journey of reading articles published in journals such as Critical Perspectives On Accounting, Accounting, Organizations and Society and Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Rafael is motivated to join the group and contribute, considering the reality he experiences in Brazil (country peripheral, developing, with ongoing political and economic crises).
