The Public Service Accounting and Accountability Group
About
The Public Service Accounting and Accountability Group is a diverse and dynamic research network aimed at contributing to, and influencing, the international debate on accounting and accountability in the public sector. Since its foundation in 2011, the Group has brought together scholars who, from different disciplines, countries and methodological perspectives, have an interest in advancing and impacting knowledge, practice and policies in public service accounting, accountability and performance measurement. In doing so, its members are guided by the idea that “publicness matters in accounting and accounting matters in public services and policies”.

The PSAA Group organizes panels at conferences, and an annual workshop adopting unconventional formats, encouraging dialogue among disciplines, different theoretical and methodological stances, and across academia and practice. It is also the reference point for several special issues and the Book Series in Public Service Accounting and Accountability.
